Heuer fans need no introduction to the 1960s Bund.

Check out the classic jet black dial with huge white numerals and the standard 3H-symbol in red. This is the earlier version of the watch, evidenced by the standard sized Heuer logo, the small-T symbol (for tritium) over the 6, and the standard sized font.

It is a massive 43mm wide, excluding the crown, by 52mm from lug to lug.

Finish is excellent with just a few scratches. Most important, the caseback carries the BUNDESWEHR marking and the correct NSN (6645-12-146-3774).

The model no.1550 SG and serial number (338 6XX) are engraved between the lugs, as expected.

The bezel shows some wear, as you'd expect with an issued military watch.

The Valjoux 230 flyback movement keeps excellent time, and the flyback works fine. It was last serviced in 2009, according to the previous owner.

The band is a lightly used BUND black leather strap with NSN 6645-12-145-6415.

Magnificent watch.
